The Allston neighborhood borders Fenway and Brighton as well as the City of Brookline. It’s also bordered by the Charles River with Cambridge being accessed by several bridges. Harvard University owns a large swath of Allston and is in the midst of completing the multi-billion dollar Paulson School of Engineering on Western Avenue. This area is also home to Harvard Business School as well as the school’s athletic facilities like historic Harvard Stadium, the first stadium built for college football. Sharing the border with Brighton is the new commuter rail stop, Boston Landing. Allston is one of the cities most diverse food neighborhoods. Deep Ellum is one of the best beer bars in the city attached to Lone Star Taco Bar. See a show at Great Scott, a low-key destination for indie-underground live-music shows.
